Barter fairs are a blast! And the huge October fair just outside Tonasket, Washington is one of the best!
1000’s of booths, blanket traders and people celebrating harvest time with music, art, world class performers and costumed parades. Gourmet food or greasy curly fries….you pick. With steaming cups of coffee, folks make their early morning “hiya” rounds through this village of sovereign souls who form one big reunited family each year.
The colors in these bracelets set my mind to thinking of all the unique clothing and jewelry the fair goers wear that give clues about their talents and interests.
So you knitters out there, need I say more? These knitting needle bracelets would be a whole lot of fun to clickety clack as you wind your way past drum circles, belly dancers and impromptu rap sessions.
RASTAFARI! (There, I always wanted to scream that….)
